UP Got The Blues

The summer of 2007 the Union Pacific I5 corridor was closed for awhile due to tunnel work at Dorris. This was a great time to be in the Blue Mountains as many trains were rerouted that way. Life would have been much easier for the UP had they had the Alturas Line then, but such was not the case.

These images were made before I started scanning my own negatives. I am sorry for the grain. This machine scan was done about 2.5 years ago by a lab, The film was overexposed and over developed, the end result I call the Gotham City look. Moral of the story, film shooters, when using a new film do not trust published exposure indexes and development times until you test them in your own lab. Sorry to digress...
