Today's Redding Record Searchlight has an article telling about the eastern Shasta County windmill project near Burney, CA. The article is a little vague on how the various components will be transported to Shasta County, but it does mention some parts arriving in Stockton (Port of Stockton I presume) from Europe. Additionally it is mentioned that as many as 350 trucks will be needed to haul components to site east of Redding.
The article also mentions trains from the Midwest hauling some of the components.
Would the UP windmill trains go directly to the Redding area, such as a nearby siding or the Shasta Cascade Forest Industries Transload facility, or to a different location, such as Stockton?
