derail lamp question

I found an old derail switch lamp in the weeds by an abandoned (removed) RR line. It's in good shape, lenses intact, little rust. My question is, how do I get it off the little base it's on? I can't see any bolts or screws; there is one black peg on one side -- is that something you jsut pull out or turn or???? Anybody know and want to offer me some advice? It's an Adlake and the assembly it's attached to rests on the ground, not on a stand... advice appreciated!
