The "Original" BN

Remember the first BN? Not sure of the exact date, but I believe in 1968 or 69 the then ICC denied the latest attempt at forming the what would become the Burlington Northern. Anticipating a "Yes," the CB&Q had a new order of SD 45's painted in the scheme which would have been that of the BN. One of the units is pictured here post "M'day" at, where else, UP Junction, Tacoma.
