Rail Access To Coeur d'Alene, ID

Does anyone know when UP abandoned their branch into Coeur d'Alene, ID?

I was looking at some Google aerial photos the other day and noticed their line into town has been ripped up.

Did they negotiate access into the city over the BNSF line or did they walk away from it completely?

Also, urbanization seems to have obliterated all traces of the ex-NP line into town, although the station is still there as a restaurant.
