Distance between Baxter and Towle is .1 miles. Baxter is the I-80 overpass. If you go up the hill from the crossing at Alta that has the little store and look east with I 80 on your right, there used to be a crossover and set out track there. That is Towle. Used to be a couple of MOW and signal buildings there next to the westbound tracks. Bill Fisher lived there when he was assigned to the Towle signal district.
