I was a passenger ON that train! We were living in Olympia at the time. We caught the last northbound UP pool train at East Olympia and rode into Union Station in Seattle. This was the last train to arrive in that station. On the eastbound builder to Wenatchee, then back to Seattle on the 2nd to last westbound Builder. Home on the second Amtrak pool train out of Seattle as the first train that morning didn't stop at E. Olympia.

I did this trip specifically because I had never ridden over Stevens Pass, while I have been over Stampede many times on the NP, BN, and Amtrak.
