Not sure of the exact date of the first photo, but I'm assuming that it's about 1970-ish. That would make the "Boeing car" behind the power be a fuselage section of the 747-100. We didn't make anything in the Everett plant, other than the 747, until the 767 began in 1981. I don't believe that any 787 components arrive by rail (they come in the modified 747 Large Cargo Freighters), but someone else can confirm that.

I've run on the spur line from Mukilteo to the Everett plan many times. It's is quite a steep grade for a train. Isn't it about 5.5%?
