Pic #1 was taken on the curve between Long Ravine and Carpenter Rd and is about 2 miles east of the Colfax depot.

Midas was a center siding and is now just a trailing crossover. The EB and WB were never moved after the siding was torn out, so in pic #2 they are too close together for the location to be Midas.
