It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to route loaded grain trains over Stevens Pass. Not when you have a water-level route on the ex-SP&S line. I wonder if they're regretting the abandonment of the ex-SP&S between Spokane and Pasco yet?

Maybe it had something to do with where the train was to be unloaded.
