Regarding the caption to your GP40X photo, just to be really picky, Santa Fe actually did own one GP40: Toledo Peoria & Western 1000 became Santa Fe 3461 (later re# 2964) after they absorbed TP&W. Santa Fe considered it the same as a GP35. I believe it was destroyed in a wreck at Pico Rivera sometime in the 80s. By the way, I love that photo--classic L.A. ambiance.
