Notes From the Road

I spotted a unique BNSF unit train passing northbound through Chehalis, Wash. on the BNSF Seattle Sub Friday morning -- a solid train of wind turbine parts! The train was a mix of intermodal flatcars and bulkhead flats; the turbine blades, as long as they were, extended over the car behind. Does anyone know where they were headed?
A complete UP grain train is parked in the new yard at the Harvest States elevator in Kalama with a C&NW "Lightning Stripe" and a SP "Bloody Nose" as lead power. They are visible from the adjacent access road.
If you're keeping track of the ROW reconstruction on Sound Transit's ex-NP Prairie Line in south Tacoma, trackwork has reached S. 100th Avenue. I'm curious about the construction there. I'm not sure if it is to move the ROW over, or if they're building extra tracks to accommodate a layover yard for the trains.
