Don't ever trust TheDieselShop - much of the information they list is unbelieveably wrong.

For instance, their listing of the MK/MPI/EMD GP20D. This was NOT built with a CAT 3616. The 3616 is 11 x 11.8 and around 6000 hp.

The GP20D was built with a CAT 3516, the GP15D with the CAT 3512. The 3500s are only 6.7" x 7.5"

CAT offers repower kits for (RPM limited to 1300) 3508 and 3512 for the GE U6B and U10B, the last orders in the 1990s probably being built new with these engines.
