Initial Dash 8 "Spartan Cabs" came out about the end of 1987(9182 was probably part of this original order of Dash Eights). The Comfort Cab editions appeared about 1989(starting with 9356). When I saw my first of the Spartan Cab version(believe was the 9102) around the spring of '88, I thought "What the heck is this?" Probably a natural feeling after the long time rule of the SD40-2. By the way, nice shot Nate.
