The story is of interest to students of safety issues, but also to students of the obscure subject of livery. It appears that the sides of the cars are charcoal gray, but the roofs are painted with a series of colorful stripes. Since the roof cannot be seen very well by someone standing next to the train, one wonders what the designers were thinking. Apparently, they noticed that, as the train travels up mountain valleys, it is frequently visible from houses or roadsides above the track.
