Trucked Alco

Tuesday night while driving from Virginia City to Carson City near the intersection of NV341 and US 50 a dark (black) Alco switcher (S1 maybe) was sitting on a lowboy truck parked along NV341. The locomotive had thin inverted orange chevrons on its nose. The truck and locomotive were gone Wednesday AM. While I was in Virginia City Wednesday AM I did hear a train horn, not a steam whistle, sounding for a road crossing. Does anyone have any information on this locomotive? Did the V & T get this switcher? Thanks in advance.
