Thanks for posting your pictures, Steve. Nice color! I made my first trip out there after working a Riverbank job shortly after Ted Benson had his article published in Railfan and Railroad. I made one and a half (not the entire run from Tracy to Los Banos) more trips after that, and haven't been there since. That's mostly due to our Riverbank work being given to the Mormon guys.
Honestly, I am really glad I got what I did. Gensets, idiotic safety vests and tagged up cabooses used as 'shove' platforms keep reminding me of the mediocre future. Oh well, that's progress! And sorry if that sounds negative, but I like your shots, anyway!!
