Raton Line

Back in 2001 and 2001 I spent several very pleasant days chasing mostly Amtrak on the Raton line, although at that time there was still a DENBAR that used the line. This is probably my favorite pic from those trips:

Semaphores at Watrous

I guess it is all Amtrak now....one train each way. At least Amtrak runs during daylight hours with a meet....do they still meet at Glorieta when on time? Las Vegas was a very pleasant town to stay in, and the high range land was very pretty. I guess most of the semaphores are still there. Wonder what would be different if I tried the same location for a picture today. Did New Mexico ever close on the purchase of the line?
