Tahoe Valley Lines

This link should explain most of MUNI/Lake Tahoe connection. Two other PCC's later went up there that had been purchased for a proposed but never built trolley line in Carson City. As an aside, in the early days of the V&T reconstruction, someone suggested using PCC's for passenger cars behind steam locomotives.

The whole Lake Tahoe streetcar proposal was, at best, a pipe dream but it did save several cars which went to other operations as well as the MUNI. It is unfortunate that the group in Missouri have fallen on such hard times.
