At one time there was box traffic into the spur just north of the freeway behind the "used-to-be"
furniture store. The inbounds were large air conditioners. At the airport there was an occasional
tank car that was set out within feet of the gate south of Old Placerville. The rails used to
extend past there to the nearest warehouse building and there was a very sporadic use of those
warehouses. This would have been late 80's.
