I recently watched the British show "Top Gear". This particular show depicted a race between a Jag, Motorcycle and a brand new 4-6-2. I was surprised to see that the locomotive was hand fired. This raised a question. What was the largest hand fired locomotive and who had it? What was the largest hand fired firebox? on the other side of the question, What was the smallest stoker equipped engine?

As an aside, the guy in the Jag won the race only by virtue of being able to park in front of the bar that was the "finish line". The guy on the train had to run from the station to the bar on foot. I would have expected nothing less from a automobile oriented production.
