Logs on the Milwaukee at Ft. Lewis

In 1979 I had a job that involved driving Highway 507 several times a day through Ft. Lewis, Roy, Mckenna and Yelm.

I remember having to wait at crossings for trains loaded exclusively with logs.

Was this a Weyerheauser operation - the Milwaukee Road was done by then.
