The thought of that F9 becoming operational is... scary. I once talked to a locomotive mechanic that looked at the unit. He said it has a whole bunch of electrical issues, not the least of which was it still had the 1950's paper insulated wiring, and that the museum didn't want to upgrade the electrical system. Good for them for restoring the unit, I just hope that if they did use the old wiring that it doesn't catch fire!
