SP #8499 at Emigrant Gap May 1996

It doesn't seem like it is already fourteen years ago---May 1996, as the days dwindled down to a precious few for the Southern Pacific, SD40T2 #8499 leads three other units past Switch 9 at Emigrant Gap. The section from here East to Shed 10 had been single tracked a few years before becoming known as "Mr. Moyers' Railroad".

For whatever reason, it was impossible to get the colors right un scanning this slide so I got rid of them.
