Very good news indeed. Looks like the environuts weren't able to derail the reopening as they'd have liked to, either (which is also good news; I have a feeling, though, that the good residents of Tuolumne County - or at least the folks living and working in the Sonora area - wouldn't have let that happen if at all possible, especially since very few of the said environuts are likely to live and work or otherwise contribute to the local economy there!). It's a safe bet that SPI had planned on eventually reopening and upgrading the mill anyway, as it hadn't simply scrapped the mill outright and sold the property as other mill operators have done in recent years. Now if only someone can get the idiots in the Empire of Sacramento to stop encouraging the progressive destruction of California's economy and any meaningful efforts to aid it's recovery (or at least get rid of those same idiots, which could accomplish much the same thing)...
