Does it seem unusual to anyone else that Sierra Northern has been removing tank cars from storage at Davenport since they just put them in storage a few months ago. Even if rail freight is picking up I don’t think there is a large demand for LPG in the summer. It appears around ten tank cars are being moved each week out of storage over the last 4 weeks. At that rate how many tank cars, if any, are remaining at Davenport? I wonder if the lack of an agreement regarding freight and future passenger service with the county has something to do with the recent removal of the tank cars. Check out yesterday’s Mid-County Post.
