Few of us don't know that the only reason for Sky was trading steam locomotives and motors, and adding and removing heater cars. The engine house was for inspection and light repairs. Problems were shipped to Interbay. Power heading for Interbay was refueled and heaters heading for Wenatchee were topped off. Yes, there was spillage, but it was normal / accepted for the times.
It is interesting that a newspaper reporter can visit town and not hear about the Great Northern's electrification.
