There was a long lead to that smelter from the area of Mococo. There was a lot of narrow gauge track in that smelter until the 1940's, and it was switched by a small narrow gauge Shay. I recall that duel gauged switches were still evident in the 1950's, and you could see them as you approached the bridge on the "Cal-P".
