Huh? If that's what it's about, it sounds like a pretty small country! I guess you probably agree with Eric Holder that America is a "nation of cowards," since you use the term "typical American" so freely.
I thought America was about the freedom to speak your piece or not. I thought it was about entrepreneurship, innovation, freedom of speech (and freedom of no speech), saving Europe from itself, etc, etc,
Now, back to the actual subject, what made the tour operator's actions so questionable were not simply the orange cones. It was having the group yell at and intimidate railfans who were hundreds of feet away, violating FRA rules and risking getting the V&T in trouble to satisfy their own sense of superiority, and demanding payment from trackside photographers or telling them to leave, while they are on public property.
Even that might be tolerable, except that the booklet handed out to all paying participants had very interesting information on the inside front cover. It was an article titled 'The Photographer's Right -- You Rights and Remedies When Stopped or Confronted for Photography.'
Here's the first sentence: "Confrontations that impair the constitutional right to make images are becoming more common."
So the very people who tout these "photographer's rights" were the first ones to violate them. I'm not going to say that's typical for anyone, but it's interesting to see "GUTLESS" attacking the photographer whose rights were violated, and supporting the violators.
