But the engineers on the Coast Starlight absolutely hated them because they were so slow to get moving. Each one had a name----we rode in the 507 and the 518 and they were named Slow Sally and Wallowing Wilma (in marker pen above the control stand). Then they got replaced with the "mud missiles" and the old head engineers hated them because the computer told them how to run the loco.
