That's a pretty nasty way to stop dirt bikers...

When I was in junior high, another student was riding his mini-bike at high speed on the Sacramento River levee. He didn't see the cable strung across the levee, meant to be a barrier to autos. Nobody wore protective gear in those days.

He was decapitated.
