Roy Whitaker. a BSF Diesel Engineer recently qualified as steam engineer this year on the SP 2472 owned by the Golden Gate RR Museum at the Niles Canyon Railway. For those who knew and want to pay their respects here is the information: Public viewing only: Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Fuller Funerals Chapel, 3100 Cutting Blvd., Richmond, CA. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 12noon to 6:00pm at the Golden State R.R. Museum Train Club, 900 Dornan St., Point Richmond, CA.
