School bus/train accident in South Africa

In Capetown this morning, a school bus went across crossing gates with lights/bells/arms all working properly per witnesses. *Eight* children were killed. Here's a link with very little information:

I saw the story on cable news (with video) and the scene was a mess. So it seems it's not just Americans who like to drive around crossing arms---it's global idiocy resulting in the same tragic losses.
