OPR 1413 (GMD-1) arrived on Oregon Pacific RR

The Oregon Pacific Railroad's newest locomotive, a GMD-1, No. 1413, finally arrived on property yesterday. It was delivered East Portland Junction and was pulled to the OPR shops in Milwaukie where some modifications will be made before its ready for service, including application of OPR lettering, removal of the snow plows, modification of the radiator intakes, painting the top of the hood black, among others.

The GMD-1 was originally built for Canadian National and this marks the second GMD locomotive in the OPR fleet. The other one, being the No. 1202, also pictured here, which is a rebuilt SW1200Ru.
