That is the former WP Irvington Depot on the other side of Mission Blvd. The SP Niles Depot was the second passenger depot in Niles. It was built in 1901 and is an early example of the "Colonnade" style of depot that was common on the SP in the early 20th Century. For some reason, the city of Fremont decided to paint the passenger depot and the 1870s era freight depot in different colors of yellow. Also, the passenger depot is in the correct location but has been rotated 180º so that its back faces the tracks.
