ATSF Tehachapi 1989 style

Here is a few from a trip in 1989. These are from the days when you could camp at the loop and never have anybody hassle. We treated the place with respect, were careful and carried out all our own trash:

Photo 1: Santa Fe SD45-2 5803 leads a westbound at the East Switch of Walong, CA late in the afternoon of May 14, 1989.

Photo 2: Santa Fe B30-7 7485 leads a westbound at the East Switch of Walong, CA late in the afternoon of May 14, 1989.

Photo 3: Santa Fe SD45-2 5825 leads FP45 5996 and C30-7 8153 on a westbound at the East Switch of Walong, CA in the early morning of May 15, 1989.
