Live report from Mare Island... both BUGX units made it to "The Island" yesterday via Cal Northern move to Napa JCT and SF Bay Rail interchange move through Vallejo to the Island and are in the Alstom facility already uncoupled and ready for work. There is also a yellow switcher in the shop (leased SW?) in good shape, a Amtrak California cabcar (CDTX 6962, from the Surfliner second order), Amtrak California coach and CalTrain cabcar (first time I have seen JPBX equipment over on the Island).

Still wondering what the final paint schemes will be for each of these "new NWP" units - rumor is something SPesque (although I doubt it will be Black Widow like the last version of NWP to run on the line). The ex-SSW 7632 GP40-2 is still in it's bloody nose scheme (albeit a tad bit rusty) so fresh Scarlet and Gray in 2010 would be SWEET.
