Good Question...we did not hike that portion of the ROW, but came in just West of there. I was told that it is no longer used, having been deemed a liability. You can view it from the road on the opposite side of the canyon while driving from Beardsley Flat up to Soap Creek Pass, which we did later that afternoon. This also is well worthwhile, as you can get a fine view of the "Peeled Onion", the huge rock formation that the line passed through. You can also see the steel bridge that was transplanted from Hells Half Acre at the very upper end of Beardsley. This was used before the Dam was completed in 1957.
