After the Canadian Border Services has "made" the funds available, looks like Amtrak is on an agressive ad campaign to promote the service. Funny, as there was virtually no ads in local media about the second train at all for the first year. In fact, as a railfan I caught the second train by my camera before I heard the service had started.

The first train (NB morning, SB evening) favoured to the American traveller. I'm sure glad that the second train is here to stay. It really adds to the options and schedules of travellers much better on both sides of the border. Im fact, a lot of my co-workers are using Amtrak to go to the Kansas City/Seattle game at Quest field. I had to tell them about the second train, because they thought they might have to stay two nights.
