Hard to believe it is already six years since a VIA F9 masqueraded as the never did exist Western Pacific #806A with an excursion over Donner Pass in conjunction with the WP Historical group's convention in Reno. On April 17th, 2004, the train ran West from Sparks to Colfax and return although they could not use the wye at Colfax, so 806A trailed in reverse as third unit on the way back.
