E.B.T. - Operating Narrow Gauge in PA (Photos)
Chartered in 1856 and closed rather suddenly as a coal hauler April 14, 1956, the East Broad Top narrow gauge railroad nearly became fossilized in time with all pieces in tact. This until 1961 when a scrap dealer (Kovalchick Salvage Corporation) rehabilitated some track and two engines to help celebrate the bicentennial of the towns of Orbisonia and Rockhill Furness. Ever since, steam has operated every year, precariously since!
Here are some wayback photos from way back last week during a Lerro Productions charter. Currently, only Mikado 2-8-2 #15 is operational but with some smoke effects we had #17 and #18 "under steam" as well!

And... my favorite of the photo session; the night time action run-by photo by the classice Orbisonia Depot. (Canon 7D, ISO 2000, f/4 at 1/25th)

Hope you enjoyed!
