Yup. The PC merger (and subsequent NH inclusion) resulted in a lot of diversion of L&HR's traditional overhead traffic base, then the burning of the Poughkeepsie Bridge mostly sealed its fate.

The 24 (pictured) and the 23 were severely damaged while being delivered. They were moving dead-in-train behind the road power of an eastbound CNJ train that collided head on with a westbound LV train while on the LV at Laurel Run, PA, the day after Christmas 1965. Both were returned to Alco for repairs.
