It is August of 1974 and Sierra Railroad #34 has brought an excursion train up from Jamestown to Standard. As there was no place to turn the engine East of Jamestown, it came uphill tender first and is now running around the train next to the depot at Standard. The former SP Obs/Lounge next to the #34 is #2901 at one time owned by the Central Coast Railway Club of San Jose.
This track was removed long ago and the area now occupied by the train is now some sort of garden shop. About a half mile past here, the track to Tuolumne is still in place but in decrepit condition and completely overgrown. It is currently owned by the Indians of the Tuolumne Rancheria and the Black Oak Casino.
