A model train show and open house is slated for Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7, at the historic Santa Clara Depot. The South Bay Historical Railroad Society is celebrating its 25th anniversary with its semiannual train show which raises funds for the operating expenses and restoration projects at the depot. In addition to two model train displays, used model trains, books, videos and other railroad memorabilia are offered for sale to the public. And, for the first time since its acquisition, the former Oregon-Washington Railroad & Navigation business car will be open for tours hosted by on-board docents. The show is open 10 am to 5 pm each day. Admission is $5 for adults 18 and over. The depot is located at 1005 Railroad Avenue, across El Camino Real from Santa Clara University.
