Oregon Pacific GMD1 in December TRAINS

Shortline Sammie's Oregon Pacific and its newly acquired GMD1 #1413 is featured in an article on Page 18 of the current issue. The article discuses the GMD1, parts-wise, as being "off the shelf components except for the sheet metal" and how these dependable units are finding second lives on shortlines due to their versitility and maintainability.

A photo of the 1413 is compared with the US-version RS 1325 which did not go over as well as the Canadian version.
