There is no freight north of Emmett at this time. The passenger train operate out of Cascade until sometime during the fall. The Horseshoe Bend passenger train will operate normally through Christmas. Freight between Payette and Emmett is picking up. At Fruitland, lumber is
unloaded off of centerbeams. At Tom Thumb, box cars are switched every trip. At New Plymouth
lumber is brought in for TNT Forest Products, ferilizer for the Co-op, and oil for the
Bio-disel plant. At Emmett, sand is shipped out for Unimun, propane is brought in for
dealer, and mag choride for company that does dust control on gravel roads.
