The news I read last night (online) said that the Pacific Northwest is receiving record amounts of rainfall, so the mudslide is not surprising at all. I actually anticipate more, but I hope not.

I can't imagine "record rainfall" in an area of the country that is already soaking wet much of the time. I don't know if the weather goes as far south as the Cascades, but hopefully there won't be another big mud slide like what we had, ummmm, 2 years ago? I'm thinking....was it two years ago already? If so, then time is flying at warp speed. It doesn't seem that long ago.
