You are quite observant and what you say is technically true at this time.
91 was built as a 3T Heisler and operated that way for most of her life.
However, she has needed repairs to continue as a 3T locomotive and that has
not happened for years account of other work to be done of the rest of the
Mt. Rainier steam locos. Because of the loss of adhesion with the 3rd
truck now just a tender, boiler pressure was cut back to around 175 lbs.
to compensate for this. I would expect that MRSR wants to restore her
back to her designed way and when that happenes, she will be a true 3T Heisler
again.
