Expected 100km (60mph) overnight in Greater Vancouver. Sideways rain, treetops touching thier roots- ah, it's been done before. The eriest thing I heard on the radio was the alert by BC Hydro to thier customers on Vancouver Island. "If you live in any coastal community on Van Isle and have no power from the last storm (couple of days ago), please try to find alternative shelter that does have electricity." Appearently the island got hit pretty bad ,the Cowichan Valley especially. How's the ol' E&N? Means that North Van, Marpole and Tsawwassen (Sah-Wah-Sen if you want to pronounce it correctly) will be hit the worst again tonight.
BTW, Kudos to that aircraft aborting the landing at SeaTac. Made the evening news here and what a sight. Last thing we all need to see is a risky manouver gone bad. For all youse going to work, working outside tomorrow please be safe. My weekend rotated one day earlier this week, but did'nt make it to the library to get some reading material while the power is off.
