Hi Ryan--The unit posted, UP 8315 was the lead unit that was involved in the South Fontana/Kaiser, California collision on September 09, 2010, where the conductor had to have his arm amputated inside the cab by a team of surgeons so that he could be taken to the hospital for further treatment. It is one of the few UP units still carrying the red reflector strip along the running board. I do not know what the disposition of the unit is as to repair or scrap as it ended up on the the second car a gondola after the collision.
